Functieomschrijving

BetaSoft is seeking a Software Engineer to build, improve and maintain reliable software products and services. You will contribute to backend services, APIs, databases and application features while collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders. Depending on the project, you may work with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Node.js, React, cloud services and relational or NoSQL databases.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain software features and services.
  • Develop and integrate APIs and backend functionality.
  • Work with databases and application data models.
  • Investigate bugs and production or test failures.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Collaborate with product, QA and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to testing, deployment and continuous improvement.

Vereisten

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or C#.
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with Git or equivalent version control.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and HTTP.
  • Problem-solving and debugging ability.
  • Basic knowledge of databases.

Must-Have Soft Skills:

  • Analytical thinking.
  • Teamwork.
  • Ownership and reliability.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
  • Clear communication.
