Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pilot Plant Engineer to exploitdifferent pilot plants. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining pilots of different sizes and functions, observation and hands-on problem-solvingskills, and a passion for solving technical challenges.

· Assist in the commissioning and expansion of a new pilot plant facility, equipment installation, process setup, operational and safety procedures and operational readiness.

· Operation and monitoring of different pilots, conducting real live process adjustments to ensure smooth operation.

· Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that may arise during pilot trials.

· Conduct equipment maintenance, calibration, and performance evaluations to maximize operational efficiency and safety standards.

· Perform both routine analysis and down-scaling feasibility trials in the laboratory

· Participate in continuous improvement to improve operational efficiency and in engineering projects that pave the way for industrial scale-up.

Profile

An ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

· You hold a technical bachelor’s or master degreein a related field.

· More than three years of experienced in working safely in hazardous environments (chemicals, high-pressure systems, pilot plants), with strong adherence to safety protocols. Demonstrates ownership in last-minute hazard evaluations and leadership in promoting a safety-first culture

· Strong mechanical aptitude; troubleshooting skills and electrical skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment manuals, and process diagrams.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to address technical challenges.

· Experience with lab analysis and working with micro-organisms.

· Fluency in English and Dutch (verbally and in writing)

· Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to address technical challenges.

· Fluency in English (verbally and in writing)

  De toestand van stalen, materialen, producten en verbruiksgoederen controleren

  Tests, proeven en productieprocessen uitwerken of verbeteren

  Tests en proeven opzetten volgens een protocol

  Gegevens opmeten en opnemen in laboratoriumschriften, databanken, registers en rapporten

  Problemen identificeren

  De werking van de laboratoriuminstrumenten en -apparaten controleren

  Instructies, procedures, lastenboeken en studierapporten opstellen op basis van de testresultaten

  Metingen en analysen uitvoeren
