Kortrijk, July 17, 2024 – JobFunders, a startup from Kortrijk, has launched a new app that is turning the HR world upside down. This innovative app introduces both a personal AI career buddy for candidates and an exclusive AI recruitment buddy for companies. The goal? To guide candidates to a new job discreetly and for free, and to provide companies with the right talent. Just like a professional recruiter does, but available 24/7 in your pocket.
Interest is high; in the first month after launch, more than 400 candidates started using the app, and more than 30 companies have already received applications.
With the app, both active and passive job seekers gain access to various tools to discover their competencies and ambitions, create a professional CV, take various personality tests, and receive personalized advice on how well they fit a vacancy thanks to the 'Test my match' feature.
One of the most notable features will be 'Explore My Future', which gives users an idea of their potential and alerts them to career opportunities they haven't considered yet.
For companies, the app offers an exclusive space to post their vacancies and attract the right talent. Mathieu Braekeveld, Co-founder, explains: ‘No other platform ensures a truly perfect match, taking into account skills, ambitions, personality, and the must-have criteria in a vacancy like we do. Moreover, our platform is exclusive to employers, without the intervention of third parties. With this, we aim to become the Robin Hood of the job market. We are also committed to a discreet and anti-discriminatory approach by masking personal data well into the recruitment process.’
Bart Devoldere, Co-Founder, adds: ‘The app operates entirely based on data, not on (sometimes inexperienced) individuals deciding the future of candidates. Candidates determine for themselves where their data ends up, and their data is not blindly forwarded to dozens of companies.’
Dieter Vilain, Co-founder of JobFunders, emphasizes: ‘We want people to enjoy going to work, to do what they love. After all, someone who loves their job will never have worked a day in their life. “Unhappy in your job, unhappy in your life” is therefore the slogan JobFunders uses.
Where does the name come from?We sponsor the job market. In the broadest sense of the word. We return inflow to employers. We support people who are actively working on their careers. We reward everyone who helps to make the labor market fairer, clearer, and more accessible.
JobFunders has already brought several strong companies on board, including Koramic Investment, Fronnt, Elektro Verbeke, Delta Group, etc. But smaller companies such as Impuls Fashion, a local menswear store, are also finding their way to JobFunders. These companies use the app to reduce their recruitment costs and increase the influx of relevant candidates. No more irrelevant CVs in the inboxes of HR professionals, no unsolicited InMails or phone calls from recruiters. Candidates decide for themselves where and when to apply.
With this launch, JobFunders hopes to make a significant impact on both the experience of job seekers and the efficiency of companies in their recruitment process. Currently, the start-up focuses on Flanders and Brussels; before the end of the year, this should expand to Belgium, and in the short term, there are plans to move towards neighboring countries. To accelerate and realize these plans, they will soon hold a funding round.
